About Me
My Mission
My mission is to hand-craft brands using authentic creativity, clear attention to detail, and innovative ideas.
My Background
I grew up in a little suburb called Upland in southern California as the youngest of 24 grandkids—that’s just on my mom’s side.
From the time I could talk I was creating stories and pretending to read, so it came as no surprise to my parents when it turned out I loved to both read and write. It may have been a little surprising when I announced I was focusing my career in writing, but not everyone can go into medicine—sorry mom.
As an adult, I’ve nurtured passions for film, snowboarding, technology, and history. I originally attended college for Marketing, but transferred to Film and Media Studies.
I currently live in Sierra Madre with my beautiful partner and two tiny cats named Jinx and Violet. We absolutely love our community and are actively involved with the Sierra Madre Woman’s Club, farmer’s markets, and various trivia nights around town. We often hike the trails, buy from local small businesses, and even saved a litter of kittens from a crawl space—it’s a long story.
My Personality
I’m competitive and I enjoy winning, but I’m also a big proponent of sportsmanship—whether it’s video games, scrabble, or a breakneck race over who gets to ride shotgun. You can always count on me to try my best and to ensure everyone involved is enjoying themselves.
I pick things up quickly. From building my own computer to raising a pet for the first time or learning Italian, I constantly seek out new experiences and information. Writing on new subjects is always a fun and exciting challenge, and an excellent chance to learn new things.
I enjoy artisanal goods. You can find me drinking coffee at a neighborhood cafe or having a beer at a craft brewery. I buy produce from the farmer’s market down the street and I visit the regional museums and libraries seeking history. There’s something special about the work that goes into making something by hand. That’s one of the reasons I love to write. I get to hand-craft visions for others and myself.
I appreciate that you’ve taken this time to get to know me better, and I look forward to working together!
